Gem Samba has been a trusted and proven brand, produced by the Shihara Rice Mill, for over 30 years. Established in 1981 by H. M. M. Azeez, the mill employs international-grade machinery to process rice that purchased directly from farmers; thereby giving them maximum for their produce.
Located in Kaduruwela, Polonnaruwa, our mill was the first in Sri Lanka, to produce Export Quality rice without the use of Sand and Stone in the refining process. Our process utilises Japanese Stranded machinery to produce GMP certified Short-Grain rice. In 1994, as a testament to our commitment to maintaining a high quality output, we became the first rice manufacturer in Sri Lanka to win the FCCISL (Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka) Award |
